Well i would like to say I bought a Boxford lathe, but it's more like a box of bits that was once a lathe. Previous owner acquired it working but with the bull ring and back gear broken (I understand these can be sent off for exchange). He took it right apart 5 years ago with the intention of a restoration .... and that's how it stayed until I acquired it this morning.
I know very little about lathes but if I can get the manual/drawing/photo that would be a start.
I can only find one number on it, can anyone identify it from the pics or tell me where under the 5 coats of paint I might find an ID number.

Boxford Lathe For Sale
Boxford 280 manual centre lathe turner Amazon instruction pdb on 04.reviewtravels.site. The serial numbers are C-III-73191 stamped in the bed in the right place. The problem is that number is not close to any serial listed online and Boxford Spares sells parts by serial number.
